Shared across all four courses, this content develops the tools needed to solve triangles that are not right-angled. Students apply the sine rule, the cosine rule, and the formula for the area of a triangle (½ab sinC) in two- and three-dimensional contexts, including problems involving angles of elevation and depression and bearings. Applications such as triangulation and map-making are highlighted across both AA and AI.
