Covered in AA SL, AA HL and AI HL, transformations of functions address translations, reflections, vertical and horizontal stretches, and their algebraic representations. Students apply these to a variety of function types and consider the significance of the order in which composite transformations are performed. In AI HL the emphasis is on applying transformations across all functions in the course, including in real-life modelling contexts; in AA the treatment is more formal with explicit links to composite functions.
