Exercise description
The acclaimed manufacturer of the N&N chocolates just launched a new product: an assorted combination of small sphere chocolates that come, in the same package, in 6 different colors. Each packet contains 200 N&N's.
By analyzing a packet, you create the following table to see the color distribution of each.
Color | Red | Orange | Yellow | Brown | Blue | Green |
# of chocolates | 26 | 50 | 16 | 16 | 54 | 38 |
Assuming this distribution is representative of every N&N packet out there.
b) Maybe a hypothesis test here? Chi-squared to see if the distribution is even
You pick 4 chocolates using the ones that are above (assume no replacement)
a) Show that the probability of picking four non-green is 0.427 rounded to three significant figures
c) Given that one of them is green, find the probability that you pick no more than 3 green chocolates.
